Corbin Signature Mouthpiece - Marbled Hard Rubber

The Corbin Signature mouthpiece is the result of 10 years of dedicated research and innovation. Currently only available in our close BC facing, the close tip and long facing require harder reeds, a 3.5+ or harder depending on the brand and resistance preferences. While most synthetic reeds will work, we've tested and optimized our mouthpieces for Legere reeds, and the new French Cut has received high marks from players. We also use D'Addario Evolution cane reeds, usually a strength 4 for the BC facing. 

The original blank used as the inspiration for our mouthpiece was pitched slightly higher at A=442. By reworking the length of the mouthpiece and the depth of the bore, we've increased the volume to make this mouthpiece suitable for 440 - 441 players with "standard" length barrels. 

*Note that the marbled mouthpieces are made from the same German rod rubber but with added coloring for a beautiful appearance. The marbled pieces are slightly harder than the standard black hard rubber, and there is a somewhat different "ring" to the sound.
