Christopher Hill is the Principal Clarinetist of the the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, and studied mouthpiece refacing and voicing with the famed mouthpiece specialist, Everett Matson.

Utilizing Mr. Matson's method, he has designed several mouthpieces that combines the vintage ideal of a sound with purity and projection that can be heard at the back of a hall at all dynamics with the round darkness that modern players prefer. These mouthpieces come standard in a medium close and medium facing, with other custom facings available upon request.

Here's what Chris Hill has to say about his mouthpieces:

"I took some mouthpiece blanks that I thought had the potential to play well, and utilizing the Matson method, transformed them into mouthpieces that are uniquely my own creations. The CC is the original mouthpiece that I made, both under my own name with a former business partner, and for another company. The CC is known for its depth of sound, while the HC is known for its color. They are both known for excellent projection, beauty of sound, and evenness of scale."

Excellent mouthpieces!

I had the opportunity to try Chris Hill mouthpieces at TMEA and were quite impressed. I wasn't able to buy at the time but both Chris Hill and Brian Corbin mouthpieces are now on my list when I can afford a handcrafted mouthpiece. I liked the more open mouthpiece.
