Bass Clarinet Resonator
The Corbin bass clarinet resonator is designed to be used on the adjustable neck of Buffet bass clarinets. The resonator acts as a bridge between the two-piece slide when pulling out to adjust for intonation. The combination of closing this gap and the addition of the mass on the neck provides a better connection between legato notes and large intervals, a more focused, fuller sound that is warmed by the wood vibrating with the metal, and less energy loss that allows the core of the sound to be projected with ease. You'll notice an overall more "efficient" experience.
Each resonator is crafted from beautifully aged, dense grenadilla wood.
The resonator slides on with a taper fit from one side, while the other side has a cut-out to ensure you're able to tune with the slide freely, in case of wood expansion.

"The bass clarinet resonator gives a fuller sound, with more zing and fluidity. It provides a singing quality and the larger intervals have more connection."
