​All Corbin barrels use a ring-less, low mass design with a reverse taper bore, helping to produce a sound that is more resonant and in tune compared with many stock and after-market barrels.  The Corbin Traditional barrel features an inverted taper bore that improves response, tuning, and projection compared to stock barrels. The Corbin Focus barrel features a more severe taper than the Traditional that further "focuses" the sound and helps produce a smooth legato and crisp, responsive articulation.
