How It's Made
Corbin barrels are manufactured using a process that utilizes both high precision machining and detailed handcrafting. Making use of CNC (computer numerical controlled) technology, each barrel is created to Brian’s exacting dimensions with high precision and accuracy, using aged grenadilla wood (also known as African Blackwood and M’pingo) for wooden barrels, and delrin for the synthetic barrels. Every barrel is reamed by hand, cosmetically finished, and laser engraved. Brian finishes each barrel with a series of hand reamers for fine adjustments. All wooden barrels are oiled with the highest quality oil and play-tested for consistency and quality.
